Today is going to be bloody amazing

What a week. What a fortnight!

A week filled with all my kids sick coughing all over eachother and infecting eachother with a disgusting cough. A week filled with Elliot waking and staying awake for hours on end in the middle of the night, and catnapping all day. With Amaya waking at night when Elliot is actually sleeping…for 20 minutes! The lovely darlings spent the last fortnight coughing IN MY FACE that my body finally succumbed and i got sick…

My brother ends up in the emergency with a crazy flu infection!

Family In Law’s suffered a terrible loss of a precious little loved one…may you Rest In Peace little angel.

It has been filled with extreme lows and in particular with Elliot’s green slimy poo action…its been hard. The only upside to all this is that since my diet mainly consists of lettuce…and air, the baby weight is dropping off me.

BUT there is now some sunshine on the horizon!

This week i rang a fantastic paediatricians office in an attempt to get my precious baby seen by someone ASAP due to her ongoing gut issues….and this guy, this guy….He is like the ANTS PANTS of paediatricians! He is trained in natural therapies (totally up my “hippy-ass” alley), he is a holistic doctor who is a sort of high profile in treating kids with Autism, ASD, ADHD etc through diet and natural therapies…Dr Antony Underwood. He specialises in Food Intolerance, Gut Issues etc and at $400 a pop he better be giving me a magic pill that i just swallow and it makes everything better…instantly!

So i rang and prayed as the receptionist answered the phone….

“Hi i’m just wondering when the next available appointment with Dr Underwood is?”

“Let’s see….around October/November”

(OMG Elliot will be like 7-8 months! Thats like 3-4months away!)

“Oh”

“But to be honest he gets cancellations ALL the time…working with kids and all…kids get sick last minute all the time”

“How old is your child?”

“Well its for my baby she’s 4 months old and she has gut issues”

“Oh, he likes to see the babies as soon as he can, doesn’t like to leave them too long. Let me see what i can do….hmmmm…the first cancellation available for a baby with gut issues, hows Monday the 8th of August”

**me fist pumping the air and jumping around like a crazy hyena**

“That would be fine thanks, I’ll take it…”

And that was it! I’m so excited that i am going to finally see someone who is a specialist that can HOPEFULLY help me.

So after this fortnight, things are starting to look up.

So to all you mumma’s out there doing it tough, with sick kids and other seasonal situations…here’s to the fabulous weekend…and always remember:

Thought you might be interested in the latest on Dr Underwood from Pymble Grove. He has been found guilty of professional misconduct for having a sexual and emotional affair with a child’s mother for over 3 years.

While he has only been reprimanded by the HCCC for his unsatisfactory behaviour, others in the medical profession consider it insufficient for what he has done and the length of time it went on for.

Read the following links for the full report from the court case and the SMH’s article and make up your own mind if you think he is of reasonable character to take your children to, or that your husband is comfortable for you to be seeing this doctor with his dubious history.

Hi Tom – no was not aware and thanks for bringing this to my attention. Whilst i dont actively see him (only saw him twice – once with my son and once with Elliot) it saddens me that such a great doctor took advantage of his position. I wish all parties involved the best.

This is me!

This Blog chronicles my journey through motherhood, initially starting out as a soapbox to scream to the world “yes you can have a natural birth after cesarean”! I started this blog not long after I gave birth to no.3 who was my first natural birth after having 2 after 2 cesarean sections. (VBA2C)

I’m fumbling through this season of Motherhood with barely enough sleep… sleep? Sleep is for the weak!

These are my times….
